32 weeks....and counting

Whoa!  We only have 8 weeks (give or take a week or two) until the arrival of little Baby Karlin.  The time has definitely flown by (and from what I hear - it will continue to fly by from here on out!).

Andy and I were able to take our childbirth class this weekend in which we were able to learn all the aspects that go into actually having a baby.  And let's just say - there is a lot more to it than I realized (All the power to you mom's out there!).

We were able to take a tour of the hospital where we hope to deliver and are excited about how quiet / spacious / easy to navigate it all is.  The rooms even have a pull out couch to where Andy will have the equivalent of a twin bed to rest on when he gets tired (well...when he wants to sleep and I am already asleep :) ).. The best part about the class is I found a very comfortable position in the chair (straddle it and place a pillow in between me and the back of the chair) that I think will still allow me to work on a computer ....I am going to be trying it out tomorrow :).

And, speaking of Andy, I want to take a minute to say how awesome he has been during this pregnancy!  So patient, understanding, patient, helpful, loving, did I say patient? He helps me with anything I ask him to and more!  From helping me out of the recliner, to not rolling his eyes the 17th time I ask him to get me some water / snacks / let Ollie outside when I am sitting down. He is diligent about getting up in the morning to feed the dog and let him outside so I don't have to.  He has not gotten upset / frustrated with me for forgetting something, and lovingly laughs at me when the wrong words (or words that I completely jumble together) come out of my mouth. He has gotten pretty good about knowing what I mean instead of what I say these days :). He is always very willing to go grab any craving I may have (thankfully - there haven't been too many "I must have this right now" moments....yet.).  I can't wait to see how patient and loving he will be towards our son!

Je t'aime, mon petit choux

Our son is the size of a large cabbage (about 3 pounds!) Wow!

We only have around 10 weeks (give or take a week or two) until we get to meet him.  This weekend we were able to get the room painted via the help of our friend Stephanie (THANKS STEPHANIE!!).  We also got the crib put together.  The room is coming together finally!!  My parents were able to come up this weekend to help out too - so laundry got done, meals got made, and the room got set-up - such a blessing to have parents willing to travel just to spend the whole weekend working :).  Thanks mom & dad!

Many people have asked once they find out we are having a son: "what is his name?".  Andy and I have discussed names, and have a short list, but want to wait to meet the baby before determining 100% what his name will be (we don't want to go naming him Chewbacca Hans Solo if he looks more like a Timmy Ultimate Warrior (yes - these are all true name contributions made by my husband :) ).

Work has finally slowed down (hours-wise) - yay!  I am so thankful and blessed to have been able to make it through the busy season without getting sick (minus 1 week of a pulled muscle in my back). Only 10 more weeks of work until 3 months vacation (yes, I realize having a baby is not a vacation - but - it helps me get through the work day :) ).
