But nonetheless- I am still so thankful for the support, responsiveness, prayers, and understanding of all my friends/family during this time.
As for what else is going on in the Karlin - baby-prepping world :
- We got the baby furniture today!!! Andy's parents came over to Tulsa to help us pick it up at the store. We have unloaded the dresser from the box thus far and love it! Can't wait to get the room painted and the crib set-up. Hopefully, in a few weeks, I can report back that that is all done! One step closer :)
- Heating pads were a miracle invention. For those of you that don't know - I pulled a muscle in my back a couple of weeks ago (who knows how!) - but 3 1/2 straight days in a recliner with a heating pad definitely helped the healing process! The heating pad is now in my daily rotation - I take it to work and turn it on when my back starts feeling tight from sitting in a chair too long. Probably not too much longer and you will find me sleeping through the night in the recliner!
- You are probably wondering about the "belly button" aspect of the title of this blog...well, I realized that my belly button is no longer centered with my body (Andy doesn't believe me yet). But - it has been DRIVING ME CRAZY - I like things super symmetrical, so this one is going to get me over the next few months. (I didn't even know this could happen!).
- D-O-N-U-T-S - are the craving of the month. I am not even picky - powdered, glazed, cake, chocolate covered, cream filled. I want them all. I have been able to contain myself (well, Andy has had to step in a few time to help me make "healthier choices than donuts - ha ha) to only 1 donut indulgence a week. Hopefully - I can change the craving to something a little healthier soon - like cucumbers or something! ha ha.
And....for your viewing pleasure..the growing belly (only 2 more weeks of the 2nd trimester! Time really does fly!!!).
I can't believe how fast your pregnancy is passing by, at least for me LOL. If it wasn't for the blog I wouldn't even see your bump...
ReplyDeleteOn the vigilant husbands' side, Michael said it seems to be what dads to be do, watch everything their pregnant wives eat haha.
For the back pain, the heating is a blessing. Try the belly band too, it really helps with your posture. The only downside is that once the belly is too big it makes it hard to sit for more than 30 minutes, the baby tells you his space was small enough as it was haha.
No comments on the belly button, mine never really bothered me.
We miss you!!!
